In the past decades, department stores have been playing an important role in the offline retail infrastructure. Based on the limitations of traditional sales channels and the rapid economic development in Asia, department sores are constantly facing various challenges. Not only have competitors such as the shopping malls, but also the new shopping habits are emerging.
With the rise of E-Commerce, Alibaba created new business opportunities by changing the format of shopping in China. In Asia, Taobao, Tmall, Zalora, Lazada and other online shopping websites are backed by sophisticated systems and are able to drive even more tremendous traffic as compared to Amazon and eBay. Turnovers also exceed the major Western websites showing that Asians are more likely to adapt to new shopping habits.
Catering the new market demand, Alliance has already had eight years of experience in operating online sales platforms such as Tmall and JD Mall. Understanding the differences in product management and market strategy of the whole E-Commerce framework, we are able to target the new market needs. We are also developing our own home & lifestyle shopping website which will be online in 2020. We can manage the structure and operation of each brand to achieve higher marketing efficiency.
